Charming apartment near Montmartre

Apartment 4 1 1
About Our Home
Our apartment has one bedroom with queen size bed, and a living-room with a fold out couch. The apartment is better suited for a couple, but can easily accommodate 4 people. Small bathroom with a shower. Except for the kitchen, the apartment has been recently renovated. It is quite small, but cosy and warm, and very conveniently located. Easy to get to from CDG airport, half a block from transportations (2 different subway lines - 4 and 12 - that will take you anywhere in Paris), 10 minutes walk to artsy Montmartre where you'll find bars, restaurants and shops, as well as the world famous Moulin Rouge. There's also a "Velib" station 20 feet from the front door, so you can enjoy Paris by bike. There is a very nice park just around the corner, with kids playground. Several bakeries, supermarket right across the street, sidewalk/outdoor market 3 times a week. Laundry on the same block. It's located on the 4th floor. No elevator, sorry. We have wifi, and cable TV on the computer monitor (that you're welcome to use if you have a laptop), printer/scanner/fax, record player, Nespresso coffee machine (Yes, George Clooney, you can come and stay at our house), electric kettle, hair-dryer, a guitar to practice. Landline with free calls to the US, and over 30 other countries. We also have very nice english speaking friends who leave close by should you need anything.
Special Considerations
Our plants (if they're still alive when you come) require watering every other day.
La Table d'Eugène (gastronomic), Chéri Bibi (hip bistro), La Guêpe (all within 10 to 20 minutes walking)
Moulin Rouge, La Cigale (concerts), Divan du Monde (concerts and dancing), Le Troquet (bar), Rosie (bar) (all within 10 to 20 minutes walking)
Maje (shop and stock), Sandro, Ba&Sh... go to rue des Abbesses and splurge! If you're not tired after that, do the same in Le Marais.
Tons on them in Paris, but only a few in the area...
enjoy the numerous bike lanes of Paris, walk along the Seine
Montmartre, its village atmosphere, small streets and endless stairs, le Sacré Coeur. Start there and explore the rest of the city!

  Personal Message

We are new at home-exchanging, but we are well experienced couchsurfers. After enjoying people's couch and offering ours to travellers for quite a time, we thought we should try out home exchange. Since we're travelling back and forth between France and the US, our lovely apartment is often empty for weeks in a row... We are considerate and respectful people, and we'll take very good care your home, as we're sure you'll do with ours.
