About Our Home
This beautiful retreat is located on the 5th floor overlooking the mountain, valley and gondola of the Grand Summit Resort in the Canyons in Park City, Utah. This is location of the 2002 Winter Olympics and where the Today Show stayed and filmed. This is a true ski-in, ski-out condo. You just take the elevator down to the main floor, walk out the door, and the gondola is steps away. A ski rental shop is next door. You don't have to be a skier to love this place (I'm not). The Grand Summit is a full scale resort that has a world class spa, a fully equipped gym with classes, ski rentals, 2 restaurants, and laundry facilities on the premises. A grocery store and other restaurants are within walking distance. There is 1 bedroom and the condo sleeps up to 6 with a king size bed, 2 day beds, and a pullout sofa. The full kitchen has an oven, stove, full size refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. There are dishes, pots, pans, and silverware. There are 2 flat screen TVs, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. The Canyons is almost a town itself with Park City. It has a small grocery store, restaurants and other resorts. The skiing is world class. Although known for its ski-in/ski-out capabilities, my personal favorite time of the year is the summer. Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, white water rafting (mild), zip lines, golfing, swimming, fly fishing, boating, alpine slide...it's all here. For those less adventurous, some of the mountains' gondolas and chairlifts are open during the summer allowing hiking and mountaintop dining. The other seasons are amazing as well with less crowds. Spring is beautiful and a perfect time to see the mountains come alive with flowers. The Fall foliage cannot be beat. My kids and I love Main Street, especially the art galleries and Dolly's Bookstore which is attached to a mouthwatering chocolate and candy apple shop. We truly love all the seasons there and found that for a destination town, it never "shuts down". There are activities throughout the year and everything is open. And the shopping! Main Street, Park City, is 2 miles away and features shops, boutiques, and restaurants. 2 miles in the other direction is Kimball Junction which has a large outlet mall and other stores, movies, and grocery stores. Olympic Park is 1 mile away featuring ski jumping demonstrations year round. The Olympic bobsled track is open to the public both winter and summer for the public to try. Also in town is a really fun tubing hill. Experience world class skiing at the Canyons ranking among the highest in the country. Other mountains are close by: Park City Mountain Resort is 2 miles away and Deer Valley is 4 miles away. The city has a great, free bus service throughout the area with a stop at the resort so a car is not necessary. Park City is only 30 minute taxi ride from the Salt Lake City airport. Park City is also an excellent base for site seeing.
Special Considerations
This is a condo within a full service resort so it has the best of both worlds: space and privacy as well as maid service, a world class spa, restaurants, gym, etc.

  Personal Message

With my daughter, we covered visited a large number of colleges on the east coast. Of course my son wants to go west! This summer we hope to exchange so that we have a base to cover California colleges. We are also open to other offers, so please let us know. We are very flexible because Park City is a second home so we are open to exchanges year round do not have to exchange at the same time.
