Lovely loft in Victorian cottage

House 3 1 2
About Our Home
We have the upstairs/loft section of a newly renovated Victorian cottage located in West Melbourne/North Melbourne area- about 10 mins walk (or less!) from the Melbourne CBD- however the vibe is one of a trendy inner-city suburb that also has its own cafes, restaurants, bars, shopping, sight seeing etc. to offer. The room is fully furnished with a queen bed however another single or double mattress can be set up in the room to that 3-4 people can share. The room is complete with an ensuite that has a large vanity, shower/bath and toilet facilities. The room as a tv/dvd set up. The house is also occupied by two easy going single female university students who have rooms downstairs (both in their early twenties). The rest of the house offers another bathroom with european laundry, a lovely courtyard, kitchen with all facilities such as oven, microwave, fridge etc., and tv/dvd in lounge area and obviously we have an internet connection that can be freely accessed by anyone wishing to stay in our room. The house has airconditioning upstairs and down. We also have our two bicycles available for you to use as long as they are locked up properly when out and about. As for us, we are a couple in their twenties who are travelling in the USA for six weeks and would be very interested for any offers of room swap/exchange in New York City in early June this year. Photos/skyping of room can be arranged upon request.
Special Considerations
We don't mind smokers, but you can't smoke inside the house. Outside (front or back) or courtyard is fine. The house is newly renovated and also has newly polished floorboards so we would appreciate no high heeled shoes on the floorboards if possible.
The Crimean, Auction Rooms- anything from the Melbourne Good Food Guide (of which we will leave a copy!)
Short walk to and from all CBD pubs/clubs/rooftop cinema etc. Smith St Collingwood, Brunswick St Fitzroy and Sydney Road Brunswick all short cab/public transport distances.
Brunswick St, Fitzroy (about a 20 min walk from our place and easily accessed via public transport as well).
Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum both walking distance. Also walking distance/short trip on public transport to Arts Precinct and Federation Square.
Close to Southern Cross station (it's actually on our street!) which hosts all trains going to more rural areas which are well worth a visit- The Mornington Peninsula, Dandenong Ranges, Lillydale etc.
Feel free to let us know what you are interested in and we can let you know what might be good to go and see !
