About Our Home
Fairly modest house is being slowly remodeled room-by-room, so you will notice some rooms are more finished than others. Three of the four bedrooms have working air conditioners, all have ceiling fans. Two of the bedrooms have flatscreen televisions with cable television.
Large, open kitchen/dining room/living room area has been recently painted and remodeled. Kitchen is rather rustic and is being slowly remodeled.
The best things about this house are the incredible views from the deck, which include beautiful mountains and a clear view all the way to the Pacific ocean. This house also has a huge backyard and is situated beside a lovely golf course. Golf enthusiasts need only walk about 200 meters to the clubhouse to begin a round of golf- a cart plus 18 holes will only cost you $20.00! Our back yard is near the 2nd hole tee- so you can watch the golfers flounder from our deck.
You can enjoy 18 holes and then stroll home, relax with a cocktail on the deck, and enjoy the views while the kids run around and play in the massive yard.
Simply stated, this home will be comfortable- but nothing incredibly fancy. Centrally located in the Village of Ili'Ili, you can easily travel all over the island to enjoy the island.
Main drawbacks: only one bathroom with a massive shower, but no tub. Also, there is no washer or dryer, so if you're planning a long trip, you'll have to use one of the many local laundromats. Also, our surrounding neighbors have many, many dogs. They will usually run away if you yell or gesture like you're going to throw a rock at them, but you will hear some barking occasionally through the night. Sorry, but nothing we can do about this. We have found that the air conditioners easily mask the barking, but if you're in the living room late, you'll hear them barking here and there.
Also, electricity is quite expensive there so we ask that guests only use the air conditioning while they are actually in the bedrooms!
Special Considerations
No smoking. Mom has serious respiratory health concerns. Also, we have a very great relationship with our neighbors, and we would ask that you not be too rowdy... but if you have kids between the ages of five and twelve, there will be boys and girls nearby for them to meet. We also have two beautiful young (indoor only) cats that currently occupy our fourth bedroom. We will likely make arrangements for them to be cared for elsewhere, but we would consider allowing someone responsible to care for them while we're gone.

Personal Message
We have never done a home exchange before but think it would be an excellent fit for us. We would gladly exchange homes for a week, but preferably two. Our home is modest but comfortable- with air conditioned bedrooms, cable TV and wifi. We would even entertain including our family automobile if you would promise to drive it very very carefully on the roads here- which are riddled with potholes. We pride ourselves in being very considerate- and would leave your home in at least as good...
