About Our Home
Delightfully quirky, this stonebuilt winegrowers house is really a flat but has more of a 'cottagey feel'. It can sleep up to six, but would be ideal for 2-4. There is a completely enclosed and private internal terrace, ideal for eating out or just relaxing in the sun. On one side of the terrace is the 'sun room' with British TV. This could also be a second bedroom - as there is a very comfortable sofa bed. And on the other side is the main part of the house, consisting of a sitting-room with open fire, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and on the mezzanine floor is a double bedroom. Lirac is a small village of 750 inhabitants, famous for its red wine. Indeed, it is an ideal base for exploring the Cotes du Rhone wine growing region - including the next door villages of Chateauneuf du Pape and Tavel. There is a bakery and a bar/restaurant in the village and larger shops and restaurants are within 10 minutes. Culturally, there are some fantastic places to visit - Avignon and Uzes are both only 15 minutes away and the Pont du Gard under 20. Nimes is about half an hour away and the beaches of the med and Marseille are under an hour away. Alternatively, to the north and west, there is the national park of the Cevennes or for those looking for something more active the start of the 30km Kayak descent of the Ardeche is an hour away. And the sun shines 300 days a year.....

We are looking to come to the UK end of July beginning of August. Our home is a second home, so a swap does not have to be simultaneous.
